Elanor takes an inclusive approach to talent development, viewing it through the lens of helping students flourish. In her view, talent development in higher education serves two main purposes. First, it enables students to discover their passions and strengths – to understand who they are, what they’re good at, and what drives them. The second goal is to help students explore how they want to make a meaningful contribution: How would you like to engage with society and the challenges we face. What role are you willing and able to take on?

Flourishing in higher education comes more easily to some students than to others. That’s why Elanor’s research also focuses on student well-being, equity, and inclusion. She investigates how education can be designed in ways that help all students feel connected, supported, and able to flourish.
