Decolonial Practices is an open, collective project that questions structures of power, knowledge, relationships, and belonging. Starting from elsewhere, it invites shared re-thinking, unlearning, and action through art, dialogue, and care.
This opening event marks the beginning of a year-long exploration, followed by three public gatherings and zine publications. Rather than a finished presentation, it is an entry point into a longer trajectory and an invitation to join an ongoing collective process that imagines other ways of being, relating, and creating together.
15:30 — informal gathering
16:00–17:00 — dialogues and collective reflection
Participants are invited to respond through visual or written contributions.
Soup and drinks.
Location: SIGN, Winschoterkade 10, Groningen
Decolonial Practices is a collaboration between SIGN Project Space, Professorship Image in Context (Minerva Art Academy / Research Centre Art & Society), and artist-facilitators Yara, Khashayar Najafizadeh, and Neele Schlette. Decolonial Practices is part of Decolonial Dialogues.
