The social value of sports is great. We use sports for positive socialisation and cohesion. Through sports and exercise, people meet each other, participate in the community and develop a shared sense of values and norms.
Sport brings people together and offers people structure in their lives. We see this reflected in a rich club life, but we also see this in self-organised sports groups in the neighbourhood and within the context of commercially organised sports.
Sport Studies graduates recognise and use the values of sports and exercise for a social society and know how to optimise the conditions for this.
