The mission of the International Business Unit at Hanze University of Applied Sciences is to prepare business professionals with a global mindset, who are ready to add value to international business and society.

​The IB programmes focus particularly on:

  • The personal development of students and faculty as the key stakeholders of the learning environment, emphasizing social responsibility and ethical behavior within our programmes.
  • State-of-the-art curricula and pedagogy emphasizing problem-solving and teamwork in business education.
  • An international environment that is represented by a diverse student population and faculty composition, and reflected in the international nature of the curriculum and our key partners.
  • The faculty's creation and dissemination of the results of applied research in the light of new economic and business realities, to serve our region and communities beyond.

The four subaspects of the IB mission include:

  4. Comprehensive Business Understanding

To realise these values, IB has chosen to concentrate on the following areas of strategic focus: Instructional ExcellenceProfessional and Personal DevelopmentIntercultural Immersion, and Applied Research. These IB-specific values and strategies are purposefully in line with those of the larger institution of Hanze.
