Do you like to connect art & technology?

Then join Minerva Art Academy's minor Art & Technology, searching for new ways to turn your interests into spatial or interactive installations, audio or screen based work, social interventions or co-created performances, augmented reality or anything you can think of.

Do you have a heart for working in a community?

Then bond with other students in an interdisciplinary group of (pop) artists, designers, technologists and scientists. Reflect and research to find new ways to develop a critical vision on art & technology as part of society.

Why would you participate?

You become part of a community sharing Minerva's Tech LAB as your (play) ground, experimenting and designing with new media & technology. Bringing in different projects, you will meet and share knowledge & skills supporting your artistic research.

What will you do?

A self initiated Project (on your own or in a small team)

Two OffCourses Art & Technology (individually chosen by each student)

Skills Labs starting with given technologies (workshops arduino, programming and 3D) to become demand driven (workshops necessary for each specific project)

Out There sharing Art & Technology expertise in a seminar (inviting other academies and professionals like STRP) and expo during Minerva's graduation show

For who?

If you dare to take challenges and you are a third year student, the minor Art & Technology definitely is your thing. 5 Minerva-students  & 10 (exchange) students from other academies or schools can join in.

When?

The second semester 2016-17 (starting in February)

How to be part of it?

Come to the yearly get-together in November and present yourself: who you are, what makes you tic, why you are the ultimate community player, what you can bring to the minor in terms of art & technology. During the get-together you meet teachers and other interested students. On account of your participation you're invited (or not) to enter the minor.

Sign up for the get-together through Osiris (May), Kies-op-Maat (until September), an exchange-intake (before June) or by emailing Bart Barnard (until October).
