Gunndís Ýr Finnbogadóttir is a visual artist and has exhibited widely in Iceland and Europe. She also works as an assistant professor at the Iceland Academy of Arts, where she is the programme director for visual arts education. In her work she combines art and art education, with a focus on topics like artistic research, dialogue, collaboration, artistic processes and communication. Currently, she is working on an artistic research project on environmental immersion and ‘movement in thinking’, which is part of a PhD aimed at developing environmental pedagogies.
