Dr. Wim Krijnen is professor Statistical Techniques for Applied Research within the professorship Healthy Ageing, Allied Health Care and Nursing. His research bridges the gap between methodological expertise and societal relevance in order to increase the impact of applied research.
As professor of Statistical Techniques for Applied Research, Wim Krijnen focuses on applying and developing advanced analytical methods to better understand societal issues in healthcare. He does this in close collaboration with practice-based researchers who form the link with professionals in the field. Working together with researchers both within and outside Hanze University of Applied Sciences provides interesting challenges and opportunities for improving processes for professionals in healthcare.
Wim Krijnen obtained his PhD in 1993 on work related to data analysis techniques in psychometrics. Through his work at the University of Groningen, he has contributed to many scientific publications in which applied statistics and data analysis play an important role.
