Dr. Wim Krijnen

Through the research group Statistical Techniques for Applied Research, Wim Krijnen wants to bridge the gap between mathematical and applied statistics via the R programming language. Krijnen does this in close collaboration with applied scientists who form the link with professionals from the field. The collaboration with researchers inside and outside Hanze UAS offers interesting challenges and deepening of improvement processes for healthcare professionals. It remains exciting to use modern techniques to provide insight into relevant research questions with a direct impact on patients. Wim Krijnen obtained his PhD in 1993 for work on data analysis techniques within psychometrics. Since then, through his work at the University of Groningen, he has also contributed to many scientific publications in which applied statistics and data analysis play an important role.
