Applied Research & Professional Skills Development
- Theme
The pillar Professional Skills Development focuses on the ability to reflect on one’s own behaviour and development and to adapt accordingly. Applied research and professional development are integrated in the programme. In the Professional Skills Development classes you can focus on an area you would like to improve in, such as leadership, presentation skills, or time management.
Throughout the programme, you will engage with contemporary business and societal challenges and translate your insights into applied research, culminating in a master’s thesis written in the format of an academic journal article. Working independently within an interdisciplinary context, you carry out an applied research project from start to finish. This includes defining a relevant research problem, conducting rigorous analysis, and translating evidence into meaningful conclusions. The result is a journal‑article‑style paper that presents solid research findings alongside innovative, actionable insights with clear relevance for organisations and society.
