Immigration Procedure - TEV

We need to receive the financial guarantee as well as the following documents and forms. They must be filled out completely and signed where required. Always make sure to read all instructions on the forms carefully. 

Once you have filled out the forms log in to Hanze Apply and upload all the necessary documents at "Proceed / details" under "Current Applications". You received your login details in an earlier e-mail. Only pdf format is accepted.

  1. Antecedents Certificate The date next to your signature is the date on which you sign the form. You do not need to fill in your V.number when you don't know it. Leave the question unanswered,
  2. Personal details form and statement of awareness. Make sure you fill in the right place name of the Dutch embassy where you will pick up your visa sticker. It is not possible to change it after we applied for your visa.
  3. A copy of all the pages of your (valid) passport which have written text & stamps on them including the last two pages. Make sure you have signed your passport!
  4. Nuffic Certificate (Chinese students only) 

    We expect you to have read the brochure describing the rules and regulations for holders of a residence permit for study purpose.

Please note the following:

  • The quality of the scanned copies must be perfect and the size has to match that of the original form
  • Only pdf files are accepted;
  • Documents 1, 2, and 3 have to be uploaded in Hanze Apply;
  • Document 4 is sent automatically to Hanze UAS, Groningen when you have applied for it
  • Please mention the location of the Dutch embassy where you will pick up your MVV visa. Contact them first to find out whether they issue MVV visas for study purpose

Deadlines for transferring the financial guarantee:

Students from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal: 1 May (September enrollment) or 1 November (February enrollment)

All other students:
1 July (September enrollment) or 1 December (February enrollment)


Immigration Procedure - VVR

We need to receive the financial guarantee as well as the following documents and forms. They must be filled out completely and signed where required. Always make sure to read all instructions on the forms carefully. 

Once you have filled out the forms log in to Hanze Apply and upload all the necessary documents at "Proceed / details" under "Current Applications". You received your login details in an earlier e-mail. Only pdf format is accepted..

  4. Exchange students from a university located within the EU: a copy of residence permit from the country where you are currently studying. The residence permit must be valid up until the end date of your exchange programme in the Netherlands.​​

  6. We expect you to have read the brochure describing the rules and regulations for students who are in the possession of a residence permit for study purpose.

Immigration procedure - Intra EU mobility

We need to receive a bank statement showing the required financial guarantee as well as the following documents and forms. The forms have to be filled out completely and signed where required. Always make sure to read all instructions on the forms carefully.

Once you have filled out the forms log in to Hanze Apply and upload all the necessary documents at "Proceed / details" under "Current Applications". You received your login details in an earlier e-mail. Only pdf format is accepted.  

  1. Antecedents / authorization inbound mobility Certificate The date next to your signature is the date on which you sign the form. You do not need to fill in your V.number when you don't know it. Leave the question unanswered,
  2. Personal details form and statement of awareness
  3. A copy of all the pages of your (valid) passport which have written text & stamps on them, including the last two pages. Upload the pages as one singel pdf file in Hanze Apply. Make sure that you have signed your passport! 
  4. A copy of the residence permit from the EU country where you are currently residing as a student. The residence permit must be valid for the duration of your exchange programme in the Netherlands and it must mention that it was granted to your for study purpose. Please make one pdf file and upload it in Hanze Apply;

  5. A bankstatement mentioning the following details:

  • The name and contact details of the bank;
  • Your name;
  • The required amount as mentioned in the financial guarantee overview;
  • The bank statement can't be older than 3 months before the start date of the immigration procedure;
  • The amount on your account must be freely accessible at any time without costs when withdrawn;
  • The statement must be in Dutch, English, French or German.

You can deduct your Erasmus grant once we have received an official Erasmus scholarship award letter from your home institution. The letter must mention the following details:
  • The name of your university;
  • Your full name and date of birth:
  • Your study programme:
  • Start and end date of your Erasmus grant:
  • The grant amount awarded:
  • The name, signature and contact details of the Erasmus grant officer of your university:
  • The stamp of your university.
We expect you to have read the brochure describing the rules and regulations for students who are in the possession of a residence permit for study purpose.
