Honours Programme

Personal Plan

During the Honours Programme you will develop your own personal route. You set goals, organise projects and you can put together your own educational programme. For example, you can follow extra curricular lessons or interdisciplinairy courses throughout the Hanze University. You also have access to lessons within all other PCC departments. An important part of your Honours programme are projects which are closely related to society and your future work field.  

When you take part in the Honours Programme this will me mentioned on your diploma, which is very valuable for your future! 

Network

You will build a large network outside of the conservatoire, because a big part of the programme takes place in 'the real world'. You will become a member of the Honours College of the Hanze University, which consists of more then 600 students. Special courses and projects are offered, which are only available to Honours studentes and you have access to the honours café at the Zernike Campus. And you are most welcome in the Hanze Honours Society.  

Excellent Musician

As an Honours student at PCC you will become an 'Excellent Music Professional'. This means that you are a master in your field and you have multiple specialisms which you can connect. 

As an Excellent Music Professional you are entrepreneurial and innovative in your artistic development as well in exploring new applications (new media, cross-overs and cross-sector projects). You have the ability to continue your development through innovative productions/projects and you contribute to the innovation of the musical practice. 

Selection Criteria

1. No study delay and enough space to unfold extra activities. 
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a reflective attitude. 
3. Quality of the study plan: goals (aimed at excellence); own initiative and independence, organising and assessment (how do you prove that your activities are excellent?) 
4. Feasibility of the study plan, for the student as well as for PCC (also financially). 

Admission

Write a short motivation letter regarding your ideas and goals you want to achieve within the Honours Programma. We ask you to answer the following questions: 
- Why are you an Honours student? 
- Which projects would you like to develop, and what is the connection/relation to society? 
- Which goals do you want to achieve and how? 
- Which extra curricular education would you like to receive? (also think of courses at other faculties).

Based on your motivation letter you will receive an invitation for an admission interview with the PCC Honours teachers.
