Margreet Luinge is interested in language development, language development disorders and their connection with other developmental domains in young children. Additionally, Margreet's research explores how language degeneration in older adults can be slowed. As a professor of Language Function and Healthy Ageing, Margreet bridges the gap between healthcare and education by working across the professorships Youth, Education & Society and Healthy Ageing, Allied Health Care & Nursing.
In 2002, Margreet obtained a degree in Neurolinguistics from the University of Groningen. In 2005, she earned a PhD from the university’s Medical Sciences faculty for their research on the development of the Speech and Language Screening Instrument for Primary Care (SNEL), for which she received two awards.
Margreet is also a member of the national Scientific Council of the Dutch Association for Speech Therapy and Phoniatrics (NVLF).
