1. Upload the following documents via Hanze Apply

  • Your signed personal details form.
  • A copy of your passport: pages with your personal details and signature, and any pages that contain travel stamps (combine the pages into 1 PDF file).
  • Antecedents certificate (leave the V-number blank).

Don’t forget to click on the submit button!

2. Transfer your financial guarantee to our bank account

You can find the banking details for the transaction in the immigration instruction email you have received from us. Don’t forget to mention your full name and student number in the description of your payment.

We don’t accept bank statements. You can find information about the financial guarantee here and on immigration deadlines and any other immigration questions you may have on our FAQ page

3. Start application

We will start your immigration procedure when:

  • All your uploaded documents for immigration are correct
  • We have received your financial guarantee
  • When you have received a letter of acceptance from the student administration

You will receive a confirmation e-mail after we have sent your application to the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service).

We will buy AON complete + student insurance for you when we have sent your documents to the IND. A copy of your insurance certificate will be sent to you by AON.

4. Decision IND

The IND will let us know their decision within 4 weeks. The moment we receive the decision letter, we will e-mail you a copy.

5. Biometric data

As soon as you know your arrival date in the Netherlands you can book an appointment to have your biometric data taken at one of the IND-desks in the Netherlands.

The IND needs this data (your photo, signature and fingerprints) to make your residence permit document. We will let you know by e-mail when and where to pick up your residence permit once it is ready.
