Building Worlds and Coasters: Noah’s Graduation Game Coasteroid
- Student project
For his graduation project, Noah set out to turn his long-time passion into something bigger: a full game ready for early-access release on Steam. The result is Coasteroid, a coaster-building game developed under Not Final Games, combining the creativity of planet builders with the strategy of coaster tycoon classics.
The idea for Coasteroid started as a personal side project two years ago. Noah saw potential in blending two of his favorite genres and began prototyping to see if it could work. “The early results were promising,” he explains, “so I kept refining the concept over time.”
As he neared the end of his studies, Noah decided to pitch the game to a publisher, securing an agreement to release it on Steam as part of his final assignment. “It’s amazing to see something that started as a personal experiment evolve into a real, publishable game,” he says.
