Transition towards a Circular Economy

Professor Niels Faber's professorship focuses on the transition from a linear to a circular economy. This transition comes with major challenges, as our current economic system is not set up for reuse, repair and recycling, but rather for continuous production and consumption. How can we better organise ourselves (knowledge institutions, companies, government, citizens) for a circular economy? What needs to happen for this, how can we prepare? Niels Faber is working on this problem through innovative research, collaboration with companies and education. Niels Faber took over this professorship from Egbert Dommerholt in 2024.
