Inauguration Aletta Smits

On December 17, Dr. Aletta Smits will be inaugurated as Professor of Human Centered Technology within the Professorship of Digital Transformation.

The professorship focuses on digital transformation: the fundamental improvement or renewal of processes, products, and services through the use of digital technologies. Within the research area Human Centered Technology, the focus is on studying the interaction between people and technology, and how design influences that interaction.

The professorship is part of the Centre of Expertise Entrepreneurship and is affiliated with the Institute for Communication, Media & IT at Hanze University of Applied Sciences.

Before the inauguration ceremony, the Professorship of Digital Transformation will host a series of inspiring sessions starting at 1:30 PM, featuring professors, researchers, prospective PhD candidates, students, and professionals from the field.
