Strengthening the vitality of entrepreneurship in the Northern Netherlands, that is the aim of the Professorship Entrepreneurship in Transition. The professorship works towards this goal in collaboration with Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen and Alfa-college. This collaboration results in a strong knowledge network, consisting of lecturer-researchers, vocational (MBO) and higher education (HBO) students, external organisations and entrepreneurs.
Vitality is understood as the interplay between the entrepreneur, the enterprise and the ecosystem. How can they reconnect with one another? The principle of serendipity, where unexpected discoveries are recognised and further developed, is an important aspect of this interplay.
Within the professorship, researchers and students collaborate with partners from innovation hubs on a range of projects and research activities. This exploratory space contributes to strengthening the vitality of individuals, organisations and ecosystems. In addition, the research supports the goal of educating better student entrepreneurs.
