To make a contribution to the patient’s goal of an optimal recovery of functioning and quality of life, multidisciplinary burns care must understand how treatment and outcomes are connected. This understanding will help identify predictors, barriers and facilitators to recovery.
This line of research of the professorship therefore focuses on two interrelated themes:
the development of methods to optimise the recovery, functioning and quality of life of people after a burn injury, including, if necessary, the development of measurement methods to be able to quantify this and an optimisation of interprofessional collaboration.
