Gloria Cavalieri, MRes

Her work focuses on how creative practices, cultural infrastructures and participatory processes can support ecological transition, social justice and resilient urban environments.
 
She is the project manager of Climate Quilts, an international research project that explores how art, design, biodiversity regeneration and community engagement can contribute to climate-adaptive urban spaces through the development of temporary, site-specific green and blue “quilts”. In addition, Gloria is a PhD candidate at the University of Palermo (in cotutelle with the Professorship Art & Sustainability) on the role of cultural centres as nodes of ecological transition.
 
As co-leader of the Innovation Workplace (IWP) Climate Adaptation (Hanze), Gloria Maria works on strengthening the relationship between students, researchers, municipalities, ecological experts and cultural practitioners. Gloria teaches recurring OffCourses at Minerva Art Academy and is the founder and president of DUEPUNTOUNO, a cultural centre and social tailoring lab in the north of Lake Como.
