Andrea is happy he chose the International Law & Relations programme because of the inspiring and dynamic atmosphere.

‘Beforehand, Hanze UAS seemed to me to be a very inspiring and dynamic university of applied sciences, and it turns out to be true! The International Law & Relations programme involves a lot of fun and interactive projects and you do a lot of group work. This allows you to approach international law more closely and establish solid relationships with your classmates.

The field trip to the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court in The Hague is what I liked most so far. In May we’ll be visiting the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. I think this is a very valuable field trip to increase my interest and involvement in the world of international law and relations.

What I hope to gain from the programme is a better understanding of the functioning of international organisations and how different states in the world relate to them. That I improve my English skills in the process is of course a nice bonus.

Are you considering choosing the International Law & Relations programme? Don’t hesitate to do so. Being from a completely different culture, I felt a bit uncomfortable in class at the beginning. However, this turned out to be unnecessary as all the classmates and lecturers are very supportive. It even feels like family.’
