Being able to accurately assess the causes and consequences of a (health) problem in order to be able to plan, carry out and evaluate fitting care was and is viewed as one of the most essential basic professional skills in medical, paramedical and nursing professions. The development of our professorship has led to a wide diagnostic knowledge framework in the area of professional diagnostics, social diagnostics and technological diagnostics.
