Closer Care for Children

Closer Care for Children (CC4C) focuses on improving rehabilitation care for children with neuromotor impairments, such as cerebral palsy and acquired brain injury. Rehabilitation for these children often takes place in specialised hospitals. The distance to such specialised hospitals causes stress for families and creates a barrier for children to access this rehabilitation. At the same time, the growing demand for care requires more integrated care solutions.

With CC4C, we aim to narrow the gap between the rehabilitation setting and daily family life by shifting rehabilitation from the hospital to home- and community-based settings, supported by affordable technology. The CC4C project is carried out by a consortium of multiple European partners and is funded through a THCS 2025 grant.
