HySUCCESS: research into support for green hydrogen
- Research project
The project HySUCCESS (Social, User aCCeptable, Economically Sustainable Systems for hydrogen) focusses on the social-economic aspects of hydrogen and how these can contribute to a sustainable energy transition.
The transition into a future with large-scale use of green hydrogen requires more than just technical innovation. Societal support is also important and regulations and the economic climate should match with the transition. This is why the HySUCCESS-project of GroenvermogenNL is also researching which social economic factors influence the possible role of green hydrogen in a sustainable energy system.
The researchers will first tackle hydrogen's role in a carbon-neutral energy system. After that, they'll look at:
The project runs until 2028 and aims to make a positive contribution to the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy through scientific insights and practical recommendations.
The HySUCCESS consortium consists of ten universities, two research institutes, five universities of applied sciences, one research- and technology organisation and three industrial partners.
