Use the free shuttle buses

​During the On-Campus Open Day, you can use the shuttle buses to transfer between the Central Station, Minerva Art Academy (art programmes), the Wiebenga Complex (Physiotherapy programme) and the Zernike Campus (other programmes).

To arrive at Zernike Campus on time for the start of the international programme of the On-Campus Open Day, you'll need to take the bus at 9:00 or 9:13 hrs from the Central Station, bus stop C. One of our students will be there to welcome you and bring you to Zernike Campus. Throughout the day, you can use the shuttle buses to transfer between locations and/or return to the Central Station. A bus will be departing every 10-15 minutes from each stop. 

Route of the shuttle buses

Starting at 9:00 hrs, you can board the shuttle buses at the following stops every 10-15 minutes. The shuttle buses will run throughout the day between all these locations. So, for example, you can board at Zernike Campus and get off at Wiebenga.

  • Central Station Bus stop C

    The bus departs from stop C at the Central Station. You can recognise the stop by the orange Hanze flags. If you arrive here at 9.00, one of our international student ambassadors will be there to welcome you and travel to Zernike Campus with you, for the start of the programme.

  • Minerva Art Academy Bus stop Emmaplein

    Get off here for the following programmes: Design, Fine Art and Popular Culture. The presentations take place at the address Praediniussingel 59, while the information market, guided tours and portfolio checks take place at the address Zuiderdiep 158.

  • Wiebenga Complex Bus Stop Korreweg

    Get off here for Wiebenga Complex (address: Petrus Driessenstraat 3), which is home to the Physiotherapy programme. From the bus stop, it's a 5 minute walk to the building.

  • Zernike Campus Bus stop Zernikeplein

    Get off here for the general start of the On-Campus Open Day, with the Kick-Off for International Students! Zernike Campus is home to all international programmes except for the beforementioned ones.

Are you travelling to Groningen by train?

Check ns.nl/en for train departure times. From Schiphol Airport, you can take a direct train to Groningen, which takes approximately 2 hours. From Eindhoven or Rotterdam Airport, you'll need approximately 3-4 hours to travel to Groningen.
