Linde Ex

Linde Ex is an artist, artistic researcher and teacher. Currently, she is finishing her PhD research at the University of Groningen and at the Professorship Art & Sustainability (Research Centre Art & Society, Hanze University of Applied Sciences).

Linde is drawn to subjects that whisper and murmur. Entities such as flying insects, salt marshes, peat and bristle worms. Entities that are easily overlooked by people or possess a subtle beauty.

In her artistic research, she attempts to relate to this subtle otherness, which results in various collaborations (scientists, farmers, fortune-tellers, dancers, insects, etc.) and outcomes. Linde makes installations, drawings, books and video's. During her PhD, she is developing artistic methods to situate her research within broader ecological processes and challenges.

In addition, she teaches at the Master Art Education (Minerva Art Academy and was involved in developing the Master Materials in Artistic Practices (MAPS) at Frank Mohr Institute.
