Wednesday 25 June is a special day of celebration for the Hanze Professorship Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship. We will say farewell to Dr. Mr. Petra Oden, professor of Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship, who will be retiring. This will be followed by the inauguration of her successor, Mr. Dr. Trix Mulder.

Panel discussion
During Petra Oden’s farewell, a panel discussion will take place on the development of impactful entrepreneurship over time. Moderated by Harm van Lieshout (Professor of Human Capital, Hanze), the panel members will share their perspectives on this topic.

RegistrationSince June 1, 2011, Petra Oden has served as Professor of Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship at Hanze. Her research focuses on complex legal issues at the strategic and tactical levels that are relevant to (social) entrepreneurs.

About Trix Mulder
Since May 1, 2023, Trix Mulder has been professor of Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship. Her research focuses on legal issues at the intersection of ICT and law, such as data sharing and privacy, and the rise of artificial intelligence (AI).

The professorship Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship focuses on practice-based research into legal issues that support (social) entrepreneurs in strategic and tactical challenges. The aim is to better align laws and regulations with the needs of entrepreneurs, thereby increasing their impact and decision-making space. Key themes include digital transformation, impact entrepreneurship and governance, including social procurement, cooperatives and public-private partnerships. By working with entrepreneurs, teachers and students, the professorship contributes to innovation, regional cooperation and the strengthening of impact entrepreneurship.
The professorship is part of the Hanze's Centre of Expertise Entrepreneurship and the School of Law.
