Many of the challenges organisations face today have an interdisciplinary and complex nature. Societal problems such as global climate change, European unification, and the energy transition, often translate to problems that organizations have to deal with. In the Innovation Assignment, you collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds to develop an integrated and meaningful solution to real-life challenges that organisations and professionals are experiencing.

The Innovation Assignment module holds a pivotal role within the MIBP programme. The module starts with an interactive networking event where you connect with external organisations and professionals to secure a real‑life project assignment. You then work through a structured innovation and research process, exploring the challenge from multiple angles using approaches such as systems thinking, problem analysis, ideation, design thinking, stakeholder analysis, value creation, and impact definition.

Throughout the module, you collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds to develop an integrated and meaningful solution. By combining different perspectives, you learn to analyse complex issues and translate them into clear, well‑grounded solutions that create value for organisations and society.
