The professorship Bioconversion and Fermentation Technology is led by professor Janneke Krooneman. The professorship investigates the use of fermentation technology to create sustainable and biobased building blocks and processes for industrial applications. The professorship focuses in particular on the development and applications of PHA, a plastic produced by micro-organisms.
