‘Only now I realise the value of IB’

During her International Business studies, Iryna decided to specialise in finance and went on to build a successful career in the field. After thirteen years in the corporate financial world, however, she realised she wanted to pursue a different path and follow her true passion. ‘This is where I realised I wanted to start my own business and pivot into communication.'

Today, Iryna runs her own company, where she coaches both individuals and groups in communication skills – helping entrepreneurs present themselves more clearly and confidently. The knowledge and skills she gained during the International Business programme proved invaluable when she took the leap into entrepreneurship. ‘IB gave good basics – the core knowledge about how you set up your Profit & Loss, what’s your strategy, what’s your marketing mix? […] It all comes in handy. Even though it’s broad, at the end of the day, if you start your own business, only now I literally realise the value of IB.’
