Have you always wanted to understand the theory behind LC-MS? In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of LC-MS/MS. What do all the definitions and abbreviations mean? Which instrument parameters are important, and what happens when you change them?

After completing this course, you will no longer need to change instrument settings at random during method development or troubleshooting. Instead, you will understand which parameters to adjust first and why, allowing you to approach problems in a more structured and informed way.

During the course Introduction to LC-MS, you will learn the fundamentals of LC-MS/MS. From the definitions and abbreviations to the important parameters and optimal settings for your wishes.

Goal

The aim of this course is to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of LC-MS/MS principles, system components, terminology, and instrument parameters. We want to enable you to understand how parameter changes affect analytical performance and to apply a structured approach to method development and troubleshooting.

What do you need?

• Bachelor or master degree in the life sciences, or AD (NLQF5) or mbo (NLQF4) qualification in the life sciences with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
