The International Programme Physiotherapy places an emphasis on team work

The profession of a physiotherapist is one that constantly keeps you on your feet and often you must make decisions with minimal amounts of information. The International Physiotherapy Programme prepares you for just that.

In the Netherlands you as a physiotherapist can be the first point of access for the patient, something that most countries are only slowly understanding to be useful, but this gives us as students the edge over those studying in different countries.

The other advantage is that we are taught that communication is the most important part of being a physiotherapist and that a greater understanding of the patients personal factors can help us prevent further treatments.

The International Programme Physiotherapy places an emphasis on team work and we often find ourselves working together with students from the dutch courses as well as students from other health professions. There is no sense of competition between the students as we feel that we can only help each other get better.
