The export control rules of the EU on how to carry out compliant academic activity have been set out in the term of “deemed” export and were enacted on September 9th, 2021.

The export of sensitive information pertaining to education, research or operational activities associated with dual use items can violate the strategic, economic, and political interests of the European Union and confront its international undertakings.

The “COMMITTED” project aims to present the definition of “deemed” export to the society of universities. Developing educational materials on export compliance requirement and disseminating it to professors, scholars, researchers, SME partners, and also to the students as future entrepreneurs, new skills will be created: compliance critical thinking and due diligence in handling public security issues.
